Giving Back

I am donating 5% of profits, monthly, to a charity to support families suffering infant loss and infant health. Why? The work that I do is so close to my heart that I am always looking for ways to do more.  Check out my previous donations below

Ronald McDonald House Charity

Nov 2021

For the month of November I proudly supporting Cath from The Toy Chest Australia in raising money for Ronald McDonald House in honour of her beautiful daughter Emma Jade.
You can read their story below. 5% of sales of Ultrasound Artworks purchased during November were donated. If you would also like to donate, even just $2, it would be so greatly appreciated. See the link below
“This is my darling girl, Emma Jade. On this day, 8 years ago, she died in hospital after a sudden illness. She was pure joy. And then she was gone. Our hearts were shattered.
Emma had become very sick, very quickly and was flown from Rockhampton to Brisbane, where we were accommodated by Ronald McDonald House. Tragically, within 48 hours, Emma had died from septicemia, aged 9 months.

Obviously, it was a devastating and traumatic time, but I can’t imagine how much more stressful it may have been if we’d had to worry about finding accommodation on top of everything else.
So many families are helped every day, sometimes in their darkest hours, by Ronald McDonald House. In Emma’s memory, The Toy Chest is very proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia. This week – leading up to McHappy Day on Saturday – The Toy Chest will be raising funds for Ronald McDonald House. The theme is elephants and butterflies  – all proceeds from themed products will go to Ronald McDonald House Charities during the campaign.
My little girl never got to have her first Christmas or first birthday. I am doing this for her, and to celebrate her. I would love you to join me.

I understand that not everyone will be able to make a purchase or donation. But one thing everyone can do is hit “share” on this post. It costs nothing and would mean the absolute world to me.
Choose Joy ❤️ Cath”

Big Walk for Little Kids – Camp Quality

Sept 2021

Every day, 2 Australian families are given the heart-breaking news that their child has cancer. We are supporting Georgia Bower, and her 2 young girls, as they walk 100kms to support these kids. Here’s a snippet from her campaign:

“I’m walking to raise funds for Camp Quality to support their services and programs to help children aged 0-15 years old who are dealing with their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a brother, sister, mum or dad.

By creating positive memories, Camp Quality helps change the cancer story for kids and their families. Please support my walk to give kids and families the break from cancer they urgently need. As they say at Camp Quality “laughter is the best medicine”, so please give generously so we can spread those smiles far and wide.”

River’s Gift

May, June, July 2021

We are proud to be supporting River’s Gift and stamping out SIDS. This year would have been River’s 10th Birthday, if he had not died from SIDS at 128 days old. We cannot imagine the heartbreak of waking up one morning, after a blissful sleep in, only to discover your baby cold in their bed. There is still no answer as to why children die from SIDS and it can happen to any child, for reasons unknown, up until 6 years of their life!

We have also donated an artwork to Alex and Karl, River’s parents in memory of River. We are also donating an artwork for them to auction at their next event, with all proceeds going to the Charity.

If you’d like to donate directly to River’s Gift you can do so here:

Leukaemia Foundation

March/April 2021

For the month of March and April 2021 we are donating 5% of Profits to the Leukaemia Foundation, which is very close to Julia’s heart, but also requested by one of our mums in the community to sponsor her friend’s daughter.
Here’s the stories:

Julia’s father-in-law, Jim Crocker, passed away in July of 2018, just before she and Simon got married in November. It was a tough one and we did not really expect it happening that fast. He could’ve witnessed the wedding, and watch the boys grow up.

“Shine like Charli”
Our daughter Charli was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in May 2020 aged 9, and the last 8 months have been incredibly tough.

Charli is currently undergoing intensive treatment, and still has another 16 months of chemo, medication, needles, lumbar punctures and anaesthetics to go!

It’s a long and arduous journey that you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy, and yet every time we’re in hospital (which is regularly!) we meet the most amazing children and their beautiful families who are having to fight this cruel disease… it’s not fair and there is still so much more work to be done to find a cure for Leukemia.

For that reason a team of Charli’s amazing supporters are taking part in the World’s Greatest Shave for the Leukaemia Foundation – we’re on a mission to shave the world from blood cancer.

You can donate directly to Charli here:

Bears of Hope: Cuddle Cots

Sept/Oct 2020

“Providing families with the gift of time”

A Cuddle Cot is crucial for allowing the family of a still born to spend every moment with their child while they say their final goodbyes.
Essentially a Cuddle Cot is a cooling  system, keeping the baby’s body cool – so the parent’s can stay with the baby as long as they need to.

Miles Apartmiles apart

July/Aug 2020

“A book of hope and support for parents navigating grief and heartache after the loss of a baby at any stage of pregnancy or in infancy”

The aim of the Miles Apart Foundation is that every mother leaving the hospital with empty arms will be provided a copy of the book.
The Miles Apart book, by Annabel Bower, is an immediate source of comfort and guidance to those experiencing loss. Through Annabel sharing her story she hopes that others enduring loss don’t feel so alone and allows the much needed conversations to happen.
